THE EDEN Hotel Collection announced this week the appointment of a new General Manager for the eagerly awaited Arden Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Jason Adams, formerly of the renowned Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant in Jersey, will take the reins of the transformed Arden, which has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment.

Jason has forged an impressive reputation over two decades in the industry, and has worked at a number of illustrious hotels including the Royal Crescent, Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons and Seaham Hall Hotel and Serenity Spa.

Having started in the trade as a Chef de Partie, Jason retains a passion for food and fine dining. In taking on the Arden he will be involved in establishing the hotel’s new Waterside Brasserie as a leading light on the UK restaurant scene, with the help of Michelin-starred group executive chef Simon Haigh.

Eden Hotel Collection Managing Director Mark Chambers said: “We are delighted that Jason has decided to join us. He brings with him a wealth of experience as a strong hotelier with an excellent background in quality hotels.

“Jason has a real understanding of the hospitality business and will be a great asset to the town and the company.”

The long-awaited Arden is due to open its doors in July after nine months of renovation works. It is being transformed into a boutique-style luxury hotel to attract tourists from all over the world in time for the grand opening of the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The 45-bedroom Waterside property is expected to become the flagship tourist destination in World Class Stratford and is a result of a partnership between the RSC and the Eden Hotel Collection, which includes award-winning Mallory Court in nearby Leamington Spa.
