What is included in the Afternoon Tea?
Our award-winning chefs spend each season dreaming up more indulgent ways of spoiling our guests with their seasonal Afternoon Tea menus.
Our takeaway box includes an assortment of sandwiches with favourites such as coronation chicken on soft white bread and cheddar cheese with spice chutney on wholegrain. Also included are savoury bites with a smoked salmon quiche and chorizo roll.
The cake selection features a layered Fosse Way honey cake, Yorkshire rhubarb and custard macaroon, chocolate and passionfruit choux bun and a lemon meringue tart.
To top it all off there is also freshly baked fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. A vegetarian afternoon tea is also available.
Saying thank you with Afternoon Tea
The takeaway tea boxes are already proving popular as people enjoy more days out or are looking to treat loved ones. Josefine, our General Manager, wanted to give back and say thank you to NHS worker Caroline Cheshire, with a special Afternoon Tea from the Arden Hotel to recognise her efforts for Guide Dogs.
Caroline is a dedicated guide dog fosterer and trainer, who has raised funds for the Guide Dogs charity for the past six years.
The Arden also supports training guide dogs, with two of the puppies the hotel sponsored now working with visually impaired owners. In celebration of all of Caroline’s work, we sent her a takeaway Afternoon Tea.
