Sustainability
This year, The Arden is making a stand against waste by producing a sustainable and socially conscious alternative to the traditional Christmas cracker. There is no plastic to contend with, and a flat design significantly reduces transportation requirements, resulting in a lower carbon footprint.
Did you know?
Every year, 40 million Christmas crackers are discarded. When lined up end to end, this equates to 1,220 Mount Everest’s stacked on top of each other, and that’s not considering the unnecessary plastic inside!
Giving Back
This year, we are giving back to our local community by making a donation of £15 from all residential Christmas Packages to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The Arden have been supporting Guide Dogs since 2015 and have sponsored two guide dog puppies during this time, Arden and Marley.
Guide Dogs as a charity works to give people with sight loss the confidence and skills they need to live the life they choose.
Aside from breeding and training Guide Dogs the charity offers other support including companion and buddy dogs and My Sighted Guide, plus specialist services for children with sight loss.
The £15.00 we are donating per bedroom could, as a single amount, pay for several important items and services such as a lead or an eye check for a dog in training. Whilst the sum of our full donation could pay for a sighted guide partnership for several months, helping to build confidence and improve social interactions for a person with sight loss.
