The Arden Hotel Sponsors Second Puppy from Guide Dogs – Introducing Marley

Guide Dogs is an amazing charity supporting people in need since 1931. The charity has been helping people with sight loss by breeding and training dogs to offer life-changing independence. So far, Guide Dogs have helped 29,000 people which is an outstanding achievement and The Arden Hotel is extremely proud to support.

We have been working with Shakespeare’s Puppies Appeal since 2015 on various fund raising activities and in 2018 we had raised enough funds to sponsor our first Guide Dog puppy, who we named Arden. Since then, we have followed Arden’s development with great interest.

Fast-forward to today, and we have now sponsored our second Guide Dog puppy. We have chosen the name Marley for this adorable puppy born on 12 January 2021 and we are now awaiting him to be placed with his Puppy Walker, who will start to teach him the skills he will need as a future Guide Dog.

Marley will play an instrumental role in someone’s life and we are so excited to watch him grow and see his future. It’s important to note that every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, the Guide Dogs charity ensures they don’t lose their freedom as well. The charity relies on donations and sponsors and we are proud to be a sponsor of our two Guide Dogs. Every pound raised makes a difference to people in the UK living with sight loss.
