We were looking for a venue where we could have a small, relaxed wedding and The Arden fitted the bill perfectly. From our first visit, the events coordinator made us feel like we were important and that nothing was impossible to make our day special. We planned the whole thing from Cornwall, by email mostly, and were sent lists for florists, photographers and any other supplier we wanted by return. We did not have to have the set package and we even had a choice on our wedding menu for 32 guests which was amazing and tasted divine. We really did feel like we were the only wedding that mattered and nothing was too much trouble.
I cannot praise the team enough for their attention to detail, and care both before and during our big day. They coped with finding a seamstress to correct a dress disaster a day before the event, guests deciding to stay when they had not booked, and cared for our elderly relatives with such good grace. The day itself went like a dream for us the staff never stopped smiling and smoothed the whole event without us noticing they were there.
The photos tell the story of how great a day it was as there is not one, either official or from our guests, which shows people without laughter or a smile. It was elegant, relaxed and fun and we had a fantastic time.

We had the most amazing wedding at the Arden Hotel. From the moment we saw the hotel we knew it was a perfect for our Stratford wedding by the river. The location, setting and rooms were perfect and intimate and nothing was too much trouble for our wedding co-ordinator.
All of our guests thought our wedding was one of the best they had ever been too, they thought the setting was absolutely beautiful and the weather meant that we could make the most of the outdoors!
The food tasted amazing and there was a wide variety of foods to choose from.

From the moment we stepped foot in the Arden Hotel, we knew it was the perfect venue for our special day. The stylish decor, intimate size, stunning location and delicious menu ticked all of our boxes.
By booking the Arden exclusively, we had the hotel to ourselves and it became a home-from-home for the entirety of our special day and the morning after. Our guests were able to arrive and check in before the wedding, stroll up to the Town Hall for the ceremony and then relax for the reception knowing that their luxurious bedroom was only a few steps away. It also meant that the celebration continued at a leisurely breakfast the next morning.
The food and drink was exemplary in the brasserie restaurant and nothing was too much trouble for the chefs as they tailored the menu and wine choices to our specific requirements.
The day went seamlessly and effortlessly (or so it appeared), thanks to the help of the Arden team.

Nothing was too much trouble and we were always given the time to go over finer details, which really meant a lot to us. The food was amazing so the chef and his team also deserve a very special thank you for that – especially as they tailored the menu around our wedding… it was the perfect first meal to share as husband and wife! All of the staff were hard working and attentive to our guests. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Arden for a wedding venue – you certainly will not be left feeling disappointed.

We were looking for a venue where we would feel comfortable for our day, and where our guests would have a great time. From the moment we first visited, we liked the stylish, but relaxed atmosphere. We were able to tailor everything to how we wanted the day to run, it wasn’t a ‘one size fits all’ – unlike other venues we visited where it was a prescribed package. We set the timings, made suggestions for changes to the menu and chose room layouts.
The option of exclusive use was the best decision we made; we and our guests had the hotel as our own for the entire day (in fact, it felt a bit odd later the following morning to see other people there – we had truly made it our own). The staff were also excellent, very efficient, but unobtrusive.
Our guests all commented on how much they had enjoyed the day, with many commenting it was one of the best weddings they had been to!

Our marriage at The Arden was absolutely perfect: such a magical day in a beautiful location. We had an intimate wedding with 15 of us in total. We got married in the Lounge, had champagne and canapes in the private Club Bar afterwards, and then moved into the Brooke Suite for the wedding breakfast. All of the rooms that we used were beautifully suited to the occasion, and it was fun to move around the various rooms for the different parts of our celebration. I’ll never forget how the Lounge looked when I stepped in to walk down the aisle – it was so pretty with twinkly lights and flowers!
All of the staff at The Arden were fantastic – friendly and relaxed with great service.
As the hotel is situated so close to the riverbank, we strolled over and took some fun photos by the river in the early evening. Everything was perfect: the food was delicious, the location by the river is beautiful, and we were really looked after by everybody at The Arden.
We look forward to visiting The Arden again and again in the future, to relive our happy memories and enjoy a cream tea and a drink on the sunny terrace!

The Arden Hotel is a stunning wedding venue with views of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon scenery. We were extremely impressed with the staff at the hotel, from the reception staff to our fantastic wedding co-coordinator and the general manager, Josefine. In preparation for the wedding, we had an incredible afternoon tasting the food and wine for our wedding breakfast and the standard of the food in the tasting session and on our special day was exceptional.
On our wedding day The Arden Hotel went way beyond our expectations. The venue looked beautiful and the guests were stunned by the attention to detail and by the impeccably high standards of the rooms and the food. From the second we arrived from the church, we had the most magical day that we could have ever imagined and the service we were given continued throughout the day and evening. We took exclusive use of the venue, which we would highly recommend as it made it more personal and allowed us to meet our family and friends the following morning to have breakfast together.
We would recommend The Arden to any bride and groom embarking on their wedding planning and looking for that picture perfect dream venue – that is what we experienced and much more.
